The Walk to August 10

Fifteen words over twenty-one days. Read them in order, or start anywhere.

August 10, 2026 · The Night

Tonight.

Tonight is the night.

Doors open at 5:40 PM. The Encounter begins at 6:00.
Word & Worship Center · 1628 Independence Blvd, Suite 1504, Virginia Beach

Come hungry. Come honest. Come expecting to meet Him — for real.

Twenty-one days ago this walk started with one question: what are you still protecting? Everything since then — every word, every movement, every morning — was for tonight.

You didn’t sign up for an event. You responded to an invitation.

Tonight, you keep it.

Say it one more time: I carry the King into the room.

See you tonight.

August 9, 2026 · The Last Morning

Tomorrow, everything you’ve been walking toward.

Twenty-one days ago we started with one question: what are you still protecting?

Since then we’ve walked ten movements — repentance, following, the walk, endurance, reckoning, dwelling, encounter, receiving, being formed, and going. Some of you added fourteen days of fasting on top of it.

All of it was for tomorrow night.

“Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” — Joshua 3:5

Not because preparation earns anything. Because a prepared heart can receive what an unprepared one walks right past.

You are not the same person who opened that first email. Something has been happening in you this whole time, quietly, whether or not you felt it.

Tomorrow, you walk into a room already reaching.

Say it: I did not come this far to arrive cold.

August 8, 2026 · The Ask

Who are you bringing?

You already said yes. Now the harder question: who did God put on your heart to bring?

Someone in your life has prayed and still felt empty. Done church and left unchanged. They’re done performing — they just don’t know there’s a room that refuses to fake it.

Don’t overthink the words. “This made me think of you” is enough.

Don’t let someone miss it because you didn’t ask.

August 7, 2026 · The Room

What actually happens in that room.

So you know what you’re walking into.

The room is a circle — no stage, no front, God at the center. For two hours, Word, worship, and prayer move as one. You’ll read Scripture back to Him. You’ll be prayed over. You’ll linger. Then food and real fellowship.

The sacred protocol: Phones down. No side conversations. No spectators. Come hungry. Come prepared.

You are not an audience. You are a presence carrier.

Bring a Bible if you have one. And bring the question we started with: What am I making room for?

August 6, 2026 · The Final Word

Ready — How to come.

Four days out. Here’s the honest, practical word on how to walk into that room ready.

“Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” — Joshua 3:5

Notice the order. Sanctify yourselvesthen the wonders. Preparation always precedes the move of God. Not because He needs it. Because we can’t receive what we haven’t made room for.

Come hungry. Don’t eat your fill of everything else all week and then wonder why you feel nothing in the room.

Come early. Doors open at 5:40. The threshold is part of the encounter.

Come empty-handed. Nothing to prove, no performance prepared.

Come with your phone ready to rest. It goes down at the door — not a sacrifice, a door.

Come with someone. The person on your heart right now? That’s not random.

Come expecting. Don’t let four days of ordinary talk you out of it.

Say it: I will not arrive cold. I’m making room now.

August 5, 2026 · The Final Word

Expect — What did you come for?

Five days out. So let me ask you plainly: what are you coming for?

Not what you’d say in a room full of church people. What you actually want God to do.

“So Jesus answered and said to him, ‘What do you want Me to do for you?’ The blind man said to Him, ‘Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.’” — Mark 10:51

Jesus asked a blind man what he wanted. It was obvious. He asked anyway.

Because God will not force a gift on a heart that hasn’t named its need. Bartimaeus didn’t say “bless me.” He said I want to see. Specific. Unembarrassed. Loud enough that the crowd told him to be quiet — and he got louder.

Vague prayers get vague answers. Not because God is stingy, but because vague prayer means we never really decided we needed Him.

Say it: Rabboni — that I may receive my sight.

August 4, 2026 · Movement Ten

Go — There are Josephs in this room.

Joseph went into Egypt. Daniel stood in Babylon. Rooms that worshiped other gods — and they stayed loyal.

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…” — Daniel 1:8

You have gifts meant for specific rooms — your job, your industry, your family, your city. But God won’t send you into Babylon to become Babylon.

The world is discipling you daily too — social media, culture, money, fear. The question isn’t whether you’re being discipled. It’s who is discipling you.

Walk as a disciple before you walk as an influencer.

Say it: Do not give Babylon my worship. Do not give Egypt my identity. I carry the King into the room.

August 3, 2026 · Movement Nine

Be Formed — What if the birth is you?

We keep asking God to birth the vision, the business, the ministry, the dream.

“My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you.” — Galatians 4:19

But what if the true birth is the new you? Joseph had the dream before he had the character to carry the palace. The pit, the prison, the waiting — that was the forming.

God is doing something in you so He can do something through you.

Say it: Let Christ be formed in me.

August 2, 2026 · Movement Eight

Receive — Power with a leash.

We want the power. We’re less interested in what it’s for.

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…” — Acts 1:8

Read the order. Power comes — and then witness. The power was never given so you’d have something impressive. It was given so you’d have something to say about Him.

Power without purpose becomes performance. That’s how gifted people end up empty — carrying real anointing with no idea what it’s tethered to.

Say it: I don’t want power to be seen. I want power to be sent.

August 1, 2026 · Movement Seven

Encounter — If the mic dies, He’s still God.

Strip it all down — the lights, the band, the production.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

He healed. He cast out demons. He forgave. He spoke to storms. He conquered death. He is the same right now.

If the microphone dies — Jesus is still Jesus. If the singer misses the note — Jesus is still Jesus.

Your generation doesn’t need a better show. It needs the living Christ.

Say it: You are the King of glory.

July 31, 2026 · Movement Six

Dwell — You forgot how to remain.

We know how to visit God. We’ve forgotten how to remain with Him.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” — John 15:4

A branch doesn’t strain to produce fruit. It stays connected, and fruit happens. The moment it’s cut off, everything it produces is borrowed time.

Most of us are living on borrowed time from an encounter we had months ago — running on the fumes of a moment instead of the fuel of a relationship.

Dwelling isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision you make again every morning.

Say it: I will not live on the memory of His presence. I will remain in it.

July 29, 2026 · Movement Five

Reckon — You are not who you were.

If you’ve been fighting from defeat, hear this: you already changed.

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” — Galatians 2:20

At salvation, the inside was made new. The enemy runs two lies to keep you performing: nothing changed in you — or everything changed and you’ll never measure up. Both roads end in despair.

You were never asked to reach heaven by climbing. You were asked to receive the One who came down.

Sanctification is just the outside catching up to the inside.

Say it: I am not who I was. I am a new creation. Christ lives in me. I will not live defeated.

Movement Five — the heart of the night.

July 26, 2026 · Movement Four

Endure — Don’t call it absence.

Maybe you did repent. You’re praying. You’re trying to obey. And it still hurts.

Then meet Joseph.

“But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” — Genesis 39:21

He resisted the sin. He ran. He did right. And he still went to prison. Doing right doesn’t mean wrong never comes in a broken world.

Do not interpret affliction as absence. The cell was real and the Presence was real — at the same time.

Say it: Affliction is not the absence of God.

Movement Four. Keep coming.

July 24, 2026 · Movement Three

Walk — What happened to the walk?

We get saved and somehow forget there’s an actual walk.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” — John 15:4

The disciples saw miracles because they were with Him. Not because they were perfect — Peter doubted, denied, failed. But Christ was forming them in proximity.

You keep asking for another encounter — but God is asking what happened to the walk after the last one.

Prayer. Scripture. Fasting. Worship. Not performance to earn Him — practice to know Him.

Say it: My discipline is built around knowing Him.

Movement Three.

July 23, 2026 · Movement Two

Follow — Following costs a net.

Jesus never said admire Me. He said follow Me.

“They immediately left their nets and followed Him.” — Matthew 4:20

Peter left nets. Matthew left a tax table. Every one of them left something.

Every real walk with Jesus will eventually confront something you don’t want to put down. Sin. A relationship. Your plans. Your timeline. Your own version of yourself.

What are you still carrying that makes it hard to follow?

Say it: I cannot follow Jesus and demand to stay where I am.

Movement Two. The night is coming.

July 20, 2026 · Movement One

Repent — What are you still protecting?

We keep asking for the fire. We want the presence, the encounter, the move of God. But Acts gives an order we keep skipping:

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” — Acts 3:19

Refreshing comes after the turn. Not before.

You cannot keep asking God to enter a room while you keep protecting what He told you to remove.

So make room. Not perform. Not perfect. Just honest — name the thing, and hand it over.

Say it: I make room.

This is Movement One of the Word coming August 10. Don’t just read it. Let it start now.

The next walk begins when the next Encounter is set. Be first to know.
